Alberta Furries

Hi everyone,

For the longest time, Alberta Furries was running off of my own vBulletin license. This has completely changed today when Razor bought his own license (Which cost $180-some odd dollars) and installed it over the currently existing database and files. It took a while, but from hereon out, the forum software shall be kept up to date.

Anyway, welcome to vBulletin 3.8.2.

vBulletin 3.8.2 is a maintenance release for the vBulletin 3.8 series, which addresses various issues found since 3.8.1 was releases. Maintenance releases follow our scheduled release policy.

Some of the issues fixed include:

• Social group dicussion email notifications don't always work (27226)
• Access masks not reset properly with paid subscriptions (27385)
• Friend requests received by users that are in "Tachy Goes to Coventry" (27213)
• Profile field category privacy ignored in "About Me" tab (27453)
• BB code case maintained when not parsed (27433)
• External.php feeds don't handle thread]/post BB code properly (27276)
• Avatars show up in social groups/visitor messages when users don't have permission (27369)

Hi everyone.

Everyone will have to reset their location as there was a change made in our system. All you have to do is select which town you live in via a drop-down box. If your town is not listed, please enter it in manually in the text box below the drop-down box.

Also I need to apologize to those who I verbally warned about not having a location set in their profile, as I didn't know about this change until I saw that my own profile was also lacking a location. So please disregard any warning you may have received from me and just set your location as described above.

As an added bonus now users will be rewarded with the following:

• User will get a gold color that their name will appear in the forum (Like the admins)
• User will gain a tag by their name: ""
• Access to 300 PM Inbox saved message limit. (instead of 100 for regular users)
• Your name will show up in the Donations list (unless bought the year before. Example: If you buy status on December 31 your name will not display the following day as it it a new year)
• Access to 200 album picture limit (instead of 100 for regular users)
• Donator status last for 1 year.
• All of the above will be available to the donator.

*For anyone currently on the old way of doing donations. Please contact an admin if your time runs out and your donation status is removed.*

Please note that being a Donator does NOT exempt you from receiving infractions/bans.

Some of the features like the gold name and your name added to the donation list has to be done manually so please do not be surprised if it doesn't happen right away.

A bunch of updates to the forum! Check this out:

1. Top Stats Updated
Nothing to big here. The "Top 5 Stats" has now been upgraded to "Top 10 Stats".

2. Thank You Mod added
Just something nice I thought I'd add. Click the "Thanks" button to prevent spammy post such as "omg ty so much". You can do this for this topic, if you'd like.

3. Side-bar column
I added the functionality for a "Side Bar" column in the forum. Razor will have to enable it for it to display.

I'm sure a lot of you have noticed the new Favicon on the forum. I hope you enjoy it.

Finally, after long last, the event calendar is working properly!

When you create a thread in any of the following forums, your thread will automatically be added to the calendar. You will also be asked for the event date prior to posting this event. This applies to new events only, all old events are still listed as regular threads.

As per request by Razor, you can now create ranged events. If you want to create a single-day event, just have it start from Midnight, and have it end at 11:59PM on the same day.

In case any of you members are curious we do have a IRC channel it just wasn't as useful as our ChatBox became, so we still haven't implemented it into the newer version of the main site yet.

Feel free to use programs such as MIRC to access the channel.
